Tanner Roark On Track For Start Of Season
5 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Tanner Roark (illness) is still sick but is improving, according to manager Charlie Montoyo. Montoyo said that Roark remains on track to be ready for the regular season. The right-hander had a 4.35 ERA and 1.39 WHIP while striking out 158 and walking 51 in 165 1/3 innings over 31 starts between the Reds and A's last season. Roark hasn't had an ERA under 4.00 since 2016 with the Nationals, and he has his work cut out for him in the American League East and in a really hitter-friendly ballpark at Rogers Centre. The 33-year-old doesn't have a high ceiling in mixed leagues, but he can be a decent DFS and AL-only streamer in the right matchups.
