Taijuan Walker To Begin Throwing Program Monday
Taijuan Walker (elbow) will begin his throwing program on Monday and will start playing catch at 45 feet. Walker made three starts this year before undergoing Tommy John surgery in April. He might have a shot to be ready in the early months of next season, but he probably won't be worth drafting in standard-sized leagues. The right-hander went 9-9 with a 3.49 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 8.4 K/9 over 28 starts for the D-backs in 2017. He can be a viable starter in all fantasy leagues when he's healthy.
