Buffalo Sabres forward Tage Thompson (upper body) has been ruled out for Friday's season finale against Columbus. He left Thursday's contest against Ottawa early and has been banged up for a couple of weeks now, and there's no point in keeping him in the lineup with nothing left to play for Friday. Thompson had a huge breakthrough campaign in 2022-23 with 47 goals and 84 points in 78 outings. It's the eighth-most goals a Sabres player has ever scored in a single season. He also became the sixth player in franchise history with at least 20 power-play goals in a season and posted 34 points with the man advantage overall.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
