6 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Steven Matz (arm) is dealing with a mild flexor pronator strain in his left arm and is likely to miss his next start. The Mets could place him on the disabled list. "There's a good chance we take the conservative route," assistant general manager John Ricco said. Matz had been struggling in his last several starts, but it all came to a head earlier this week when he allowed seven earned runs in less than an inning to the Nationals. He shouldn't be out too long, but fantasy owners will want to be wary of starting him before he proves fully healthy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
