Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (undisclosed) will be out of action for at least one week after the team placed him on Injured Reserve. The veteran has sustained an undisclosed injury, playing a season-low 14:50 in Saturday's embarrassing 9-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. Nugent-Hopkins is the third-highest scoring Oilers this season, with 16 points (five goals, 11 assists) in as many appearances. However, he has struggled in even-strength situations, logging a minus-11 rating. With Nugent-Hopkins unavailable, Leon Draisaitl is expected to take on the second-line center role in Monday's matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Meanwhile, Matt Savoie will join Connor McDavid and Andrew Mangiapane on the first line.--Taavi Pailk
