Spencer Jones Hits Home Run No. 9
Spencer Jones hit his ninth home run of the Double-A regular season on Friday during their contest against Richmond. Jones went 1-for-4 at the plate with two walks and two punchouts. This outing also extended his current hitting streak to five games. During this stretch, he has gone deep twice and held a 9:6 K:BB. After an underwhelming season at Double-A last summer, the No. 3-ranked prospect in the Yankee system appears to be taking the next step in his development. Through the first 25 games of the 2025 campaign, Jones has held a .236/.382/.573 slash line, which is a strong improvement compared to the .259/.336/.452 line he held across 122 games at Double-A last summer. If Jones continues to hit for power, he could earn the call to Triple-A.
