Skylar Thompson Expected To Start Against Vikings
2 years agoMiami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel announced on Wednesday that rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson is expected to start in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings. Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) has already been ruled out, while Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) must pass through the league's concussion protocol this week and will do so with very limited practice time, if any. Thompson pretty much played all of last week's loss to the New York Jets after Bridgewater was injured on the first play of the game, and he went 19-for-33 for 166 yards, no touchdowns, a pick and a lost fumble in his NFL debut. The seventh-rounder should be avoided in his first career start, while fantasy managers need to downgrade all of the Dolphins offensive skill players. Oh, and the Vikings defensive unit will be a popular streamer in Week 6.
