Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby will miss at least the next six weeks after having surgery to repair a core muscle injury on Thursday. The 32-year-old sustained the injury in the third period of a 3-2 shootout victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday and did not return to the game. The news comes as a major loss to both the Penguins and Crosby's fantasy owners as the three-time Stanley Cup champ had produced 17 points (five goals, 12 assists), three power-play points and 46 shots on goal in his first 17 games on the campaign. The team will look to Evgeni Malkin to step up and take on a lead role in their generational talent's absence.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
