Montreal Canadiens defenseman Shea Weber will be out of action for at least the next week after sustaining a lower-body injury in his team's 5-4 shootout win over the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday. It is believed that the injury occurred late in the contest as the Canadiens captain logged 24:50 of ice time in the victory. Any absence from Weber should be considered a great loss, as the 34-year-old has been excellent in his fourth season in Montreal - having posted 34 points (13 goals, 21 assists), a plus-eight rating, 157 shots and 94 hits in 55 games this season. Expect defenseman Jeff Petry to play an extended role at both even-strength and on the man advantage while Weber is out.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
