Seahawks D/ST a Solid Option in Week 13
The Seattle Seahawks defense/special teams draws a nice matchup with the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13. Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy (concussion) will not play this week, and rookie quarterback Max Brosmer will make his first start. Brosmer is a bit of an unknown, but a rookie in their first start generally does not fare well in the NFL. Additionally, McCarthy has struggled to move the Vikings' offense this season in general. If that is also the case for Brosmer, there will be several long downs that could result in sacks for the young quarterback. The Seahawks D/ST should have no issues exploiting Brosmer this week. This unit has a knack for getting after the quarterback with one of the best defensive fronts in the league. Additionally, Seattle is great at forcing turnovers in the secondary. With so many opportunities for turnovers and sacks, the Seahawks D/ST should have plenty of chances for defensive scores as well. If Seattle's offense takes care of business as it should, the defense should be able to tee off all day and keep Brosmer in check. Start this unit as a top ten option in Week 13.
