Saquon Barkley Won't Put A Timetable On His Return
4 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (knee), who missed the final 14 games of last season after tearing his ACL, declined to provide a timetable for his return when speaking to the media on Wednesday. "You know me, I'll take it one day at a time. … It's going to be whenever my body tells me I'm ready," Barkley said. There's no question that the 24-year-old is one of the best all-around running backs in the league when he's healthy, but injuries have held his career back to this point. It remains to be seen if Barkley will be available for Week 1 against the Denver Broncos, making his selection as a top-five fantasy pick pretty risky. Even if Barkley is on the field for the regular season opener, he could be somewhat limited in his overall workload, too.
