Ryan Newman will begin Sunday from the 20th position for the Goodyear 400. Last year, he finished 15th, 14th, and 15th at Darlington. The Roush Fenway Racing driver could end up right around that position again on Sunday. That potential place differential is a limited positive but one nonetheless. With Newman able to stay on the lead lap and the ability to stay out of trouble, those are definitely positives. His car is not likely fast enough to get into the top ten, however.
