Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Ryan Ellis (undisclosed) will miss a second consecutive game on Wednesday against Edmonton. The Flyers consider him day-to-day and there was a chance of him possibly getting back into the lineup, but it won't be happening. With Philly also in action on Thursday versus the Canucks, Ellis could easily end up missing a third consecutive game as well. The former Predators is off to a great start at his new club having recorded four points in three games with four shots, four blocks and a plus-three rating. The veteran blueliner has averaged over 24 minutes of game time a night, so he's a big miss for the team. Justin Braun has moved up to the top pairing, but he had a quiet night in Saturday's 4-2 loss to Florida.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
