If Sunday's Enjoy Illinois 300 was just two laps shorter, Ryan Blaney would have been the victor. Unfortunately, his No. 12 Ford ran out of gas as he was coming to take the white flag, allowing his Team Penske teammate, Austin Cindric, to steal the win. "It just sucks we don't end up with a finish that we deserve. I thought we did a good job all day doing what we needed to do. It's a kick in the nuts but you move on past it," Blaney stated after the race. The 2023 Cup Series Champion is still winless on the season and now sits just 37 points ahead of the cut line for the Playoffs after his 24th-place finish at Gateway. --Jordan McAbee
