Rodney McLeod Re-Signs With Browns
9 months agoThe Cleveland Browns re-signed safety Rodney McLeod (biceps) to an undisclosed one-year deal on Saturday, the team announced. McLeod is coming off surgery to fix a torn biceps, but he's been an excellent leader for the defense and is another former Jim Schwartz player from their time together with the Philadelphia Eagles. The 33-year-old former undrafted free agent was limited to just 10 games (five starts) in his first year in Cleveland in 2023 due to his biceps injury, and he ultimately finished with 29 tackles (16 solo). He was also a key contributor on special teams and is expected to fill a similar role in 2024 in his second year with the Browns. McLeod has racked up 718 tackles (508 solo), two sacks, 25 tackles for loss, 18 interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), 61 passes defended, 11 forced fumbles and nine fumble recoveries (two returned for TDs) in his 12 NFL seasons with four different teams.
