Rockies Prospect Noel Cuevas Called Up
7 years agoColorado Rockies outfield prospect Noel Cuevas will see his first big-league action on Sunday as he's been called up to take Mike Tauchman's place and start for suspended outfielder Gerardo Parra. Cuevas regularly gets left off top prospect lists, but he was one of the team's top minor-league performers last year. Cuevas hit .312 with 15 home runs and 16 stolen bases at Triple-A Albuquerque, which is even more of a launching pad than Coors Field. Whether he can transition will have to be seen, but he should certainly be treated as an intriguing prospect since he's already hit two homers and stolen two bases while hitting .333 as well.
