Ricky Tiedemann Invited To Spring Training
10 months agoToronto Blue Jays pitching prospect Ricky Tiedemann was among a group of non-roster players given invites to major-league spring training on Monday. Tiedemann, MLB Pipeline's No. 29 overall prospect, was limited to only 44 innings (15 starts) last year because of a biceps injury, but the 21-year-old southpaw still managed to strike out an impressive 82 batters. He looked good in the Arizona Fall League as well, posting a 2.50 ERA with 23 K's and eight walks and is one of the best overall pitching prospects in baseball entering the 2024 season. Barring another injury, Tiedemann should make his big-league debut for Toronto this year. However, the Blue Jays will not rush their best pitching prospect. At the very least, he should already be stashed in all dynasty/keeper leagues.
