Reese Olson Goes on Injured List With Finger Injury
Reese Olson (finger) on the 15-day injured list on Monday with a right ring-finger injury and recalled right-hander Chase Lee from the minors in a corresponding move, according to The Detroit News' Chris McCosky. It's bad news for the Tigers and fantasy managers for a pitcher that has been lights-out of late, and it's unclear if he'll be ready to return from the IL when he's eligible on June 2. The 25-year-old threw six shutout innings with only one hit allowed, one walk and six strikeouts in a no-decision his last time out on Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Olson has been outstanding in his last six starts, posting a 1.60 ERA and 0.95 WHIP with 38 punchouts and 11 walks over 33 2/3 frames. Fantasy managers will want to hang onto him while he recovers. McCosky writes that the Tigers will go with a bullpen game on Wednesday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
