Randall Cobb Sits Out Scrimmage with Ankle Injury
Randall Cobb (ankle) did not participate in Green Bay’s annual Family Night practice. Cobb apparently injured it during Friday’s practice. According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Cobb is on the sidelines and doesn’t appear to be having any issues moving. The injury does not appear to be serious. Cobb had ankle surgery this offseason, but it is not expected to slow him down. His absence shouldn’t warrant any long term concern at this point. Cobb is a high-risk/high-reward player whose role in Green Bay’s offense is likely to grow after the departure of veteran receiver Jordy Nelson.
