Rams Want To Get Robert Woods More Involved
3 years agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods averaged more than 132 targets per season in the last three years with Jared Goff under center. In four games with Matthew Stafford, Woods has just 25 targets, catching 15 of them for 172 yards and two touchdowns. "We just need to get him some more opportunities and that starts with me," head coach Sean McVay said. Cooper Kupp, meanwhile, has 46 targets (11.5 per game) so far. Thirty of Woods' 48 yards in the Week 4 loss to the Arizona Cardinals came in garbage time, including his touchdown. Kupp is clearly Stafford's favorite target, but the opportunities should be there for Woods in this high-scoring offense. Woods is a solid buy-low candidate through four games, and he has WR2 upside this Thursday against a Seahawks defense that ranks 27th in pass defense DVOA, per Football Outsiders.
