Rams Still Trying To Trade Cam Akers
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said the team has talked to different teams and is still looking to move running back Cam Akers before the Nov. 1 trade deadline, but nothing is decided yet. Akers has fallen out of favor with the Rams coaching staff and was told to stay home from practice last week. McVay said there's a possibility that Akers remains with the team, although it's unlikely that he'll play in Week 8 against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers. The 23-year-old former second-round pick has averaged just 3.0 yards per carry on 51 totes for 151 yards and one touchdown on the ground for the Rams in 2022 in five games played. With Akers out of the picture for now in LA, Darrell Henderson Jr. has become the team's lead back.
