Raiders Running Backs Coach Retires
3 years agoLas Vegas Raiders running backs coach Kirby Wilson informed the team on Friday that he is retiring after serving as a running backs coach for seven teams over the last two decades. In that span of time in the NFL, Wilson coached four running backs that finished in the top 15 in career rushing yards -- Emmitt Smith, Adrian Peterson, Curtis Martin and Edgerrin James. Current Raiders lead back Josh Jacobs has rushed for 1,000-plus yards in each of his first two seasons under Wilson. Jacobs finished as an RB1 in fantasy in 2020, but he had just 45 targets in the passing game. It's worth noting that Wilson will no longer be around this year, and the Raiders also added Kenyan Drake in free agency, and he's expected to take more valuable targets away in the passing game. Don't pay for Jacobs to repeat as an RB1 in PPR leagues with Drake now in the picture.
