Raheem Mostert Returns To Practice Thursday
Raheem Mostert (knee) returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday. Perhaps the Dolphins were just resting Mostert after he had a season-high 18 carries for 113 yards and a touchdown on the ground in the Week 5 loss to the New York Jets. While the Dolphins refuse to label him as their lead back heading into Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings, Mostert has out-carried Chase Edmonds 33 to six in the last two weeks. Edmonds has more touchdowns so far this year, but Mostert has looked much more explosive with the ball in his hands. The Dolphins will continue to involve Edmonds, but Mostert has taken the lead at this point and will be in play as an RB2 against the Vikings.
