8 months agoPhiladelphia Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas was back in the lineup Wednesday against the Ottawa Senators and he collected three assists with a plus-two rating with three shots on net, two blocked shots and a hit. Normally the tough guy is known for his physical play, but he showed off some tremendous tape-to-tape passing in this one, setting up second-period goals by Sean Couturier and Jakub Voracek, while posting second assist on Scott Laughton's tally in the third. It appears Gudas and Christian Folin will both work in sort of a platoon among Philly rearguards, but if Gudas keeps it up with the offense, Folin could be in street clothes more often than not.--Daniel E.
