Phillip Lindsay Steps Up In Upset Of Patriots
4 years agoDenver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay took advantage of Melvin Gordon III (illness) sitting out of the Week 6 contest against the Patriots on Sunday, running the ball 23 times for 101 yards in the 18-12 win on the road. Lindsay wasn't involved at all in the passing game, but it was a nice surprise performance since it was his first game action since suffering turf toe in the season-opener. His fantasy stock is on the rise, especially since Gordon could be facing a two- or three-game suspension from the NFL after his DUI arrest last week. If Gordon misses any more time, Lindsay will have clear RB2 fantasy upside, especially against a Chiefs team in Week 7 that has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to the position per game.
