Jameson Williams Expcted to See Uptick in Targets
Jameson Williams is expected to see "an uptick in targets" this year, as quarterback Jared Goff said the fourth-year receiver is embracing a more diverse route tree. "To see the growth in Jamo this offseason has been a lot of fun," Goff said. Williams averaged around six targets per game last year, and Fowler expects that number to grow in 2025 under new offensive coordinator John Morton. The 24-year-old former 12th overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft out of Ohio State dealt with injuries and a suspension his first two years in the league before breaking out with 1,001 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 58 catches over 15 regular-season games (11 starts) in 2024. There are a lot of mouths to feed in Detroit's offense, but Morton seems to want to involve Williams alot, which makes him a low-end WR2 heading into his fourth season.Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler

Tatsuro Taira Gets Submission Win
Source: UFC
Tatsuro Taira returned to the win column by defeating HyunSung Park via second-round submission in the main event of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. Throughout this fight, Taira showcased that he's a level above Park. After Taira knocked his opponent down and Park became susceptible to takedowns, it was only a matter of time before he would finish Park. Taira took Park down again in the second round and started cranking Park's face, forcing him to tap out. In 6:06 of action, Taira landed four takedowns and seven significant strikes. With the win, Taira is now 17-1 as a pro and is 7-1 in the UFC.Kyle Pitts Sr., Michael Penix Jr. Connecting in the Offseason
Kyle Pitts Sr. has been establishing a strong connection with starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. during the offseason. Adnan Ikic of The Falcoholic noted that the tight end has been Penix's golf partner, and their connection has already begun to show on the practice field. Pitts has been targeted a lot during the early stages of training camp and is emerging as a go-to option for Penix in the passing attack. After tallying 1,026 yards in his rookie campaign, the former first-round pick has struggled to live up to his draft capital. In 2024, Pitts scored a career-high four touchdowns but caught just 47 passes for a mere 602 receiving yards. However, with Darnell Mooney (shoulder) in danger of missing the start of the season, Pitts could be in a prime position to enjoy a strong start to the campaign. He is worth a look as a high-upside TE2 in all formats.Source: Adnan Ikic
Atlanta Falcons tight end Travis Etienne Jr. Seen as Dangerous Part of Screen Game
Travis Etienne Jr. as a potentially very dangerous part of Coen's screen game." Tank Bigsby is viewed as more of a physical pounder between the tackles, which may mean he is the team's short-yardage and goal-line option. Rookie fourth-rounder Bhayshul Tuten is the speed guy and home run threat out of the backfield. Rookie seventh-rounder LeQuint Allen Jr. could evolve into a third-down back due to his pass-catching and pass-protection abilities. Graziano thinks this could be a situation to stay away from in fantasy until concrete roles develop. Etienne has mostly shared reps with Bigsby at training camp. In PPR leagues, Etienne will be a cheap RB3/flex target.Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano
ESPN's Dan Graziano writes that the Jacksonville Jaguars plan to keep four running backs for a committee approach in 2025 under new head coach Liam Coen. "They see HyunSung Park Undefeated No More
Source: UFC
HyunSung Park suffered a second-round submission to Tatsuro Taira in the main event of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. Park took the fight on short notice, replacing the original opponent, Amir Albazi. He did well enough in the first round, but things started to go downhill for Park as he got knocked down. From that point on, Park got taken down a few times and was outclassed on the ground before getting submitted with a face crank. In 6:06 of action, Park landed only three significant strikes. With the loss, Park has dropped to 10-1 as a pro and is now 3-1 in the UFC.Anthony Nunez Headed to Triple-A Norfolk
Cedric Mullins trade with the Mets. The 24-year-old was originally drafted out of high school as a shortstop back in 2019, but has converted himself into a pitcher, and it appears to have been the right move. In 33 games between High-A and Double-A this season, the right-hander has posted a 1.52 ERA, 0.78 WHIP, and has struck out a whopping 40.0 percent of the batters he's faced. That's good for 62 strikeouts in 41 innings pitched. There is a small issue with an elevated walk rate of 11.0 percent, but if he's striking that many out, it may not matter. Without a dedicated closer in Baltimore, Nunez is a name to keep an eye on down the stretch in case he gets the call.Source: MiLB Central
Baltimore Orioles pitching prospect Anthony Nunez is getting promoted to Triple-A Norfolk. Baltimore's 24th-ranked prospect was acquired in the Clayton Beeter to be Recalled from Triple-A Rochester
Clayton Beeter will be called up to the big league club. The 26-year-old came over in the Amed Rosario trade and slots in as the team's 24th-ranked prospect. He made his major league debut in July for the Yankees, but allowed six earned runs on five hits (two home runs) and four walks while striking out just one in 3 2/3 innings of relief. So far in the Nationals' organization, he's tossed four innings in relief, giving up three earned runs on two hits and four walks while striking out seven batters. With a high-90s fastball, the 6-foot-2 hurler has some solid strikeout stuff, but the inability to throw strikes consistently has led to high walk rates in the past. Without a high-leverage role out of the Washington bullpen, there's little fantasy value here.Source: Spencer Nusbaum
Washington Nationals pitching prospect Jameson Taillon Allows Seven Runs in Rehab Start
Jameson Taillon (calf) struggled in his minor-league rehab start on Sunday for Triple-A Iowa against Triple-A Indianapolis, surrendering seven earned runs on seven hits (two homers) while walking none and striking out only one in three innings of work. Taillon was certainly rusty in his first start since June 29 due to a calf injury. The good news is that the 33-year-old veteran threw 64 pitches in the outing and came away healthy. It remains to be seen when Taillon will be activated from the injured list to return to the Cubs, but he might require one more rehab outing to see if he can bounce back from his ugly showing on Sunday. Taillon should have a rotation spot waiting for him in the big leagues, even after the addition of Michael Soroka at the trade deadline, but he's a low-upside fantasy piece in deeper leagues with diminished velocity and strikeout stuff.Source: Milb.com
Chicago Cubs right-hander Yankees Talking Potential Deal With Kenta Maeda
Kenta Maeda, according to the New York Post's Jon Heyman. Maeda was released by the Detroit Tigers this year after allowing eight runs (seven earned) while walking six and striking out eight in eight innings over seven relief appearances before he signed a minor-league deal with the Chicago Cubs back in May. The 37-year-old never made a big-league appearance with the Cubs, though, although he could latch on with the Yankees next as either an experienced starter or reliever. Maeda would be unlikely to have any fantasy appeal the rest of the 2025 season in pinstripes. In his last full season in 2024 with Detroit, Maeda had a career-worst 6.09 ERA and 1.38 WHIP with a career-low 7.7 K/9 in 112 1/3 innings over 29 appearances (17 starts).Source: New York Post - Jon Heyman
The New York Yankees are discussing a potential deal with free-agent right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson Goes on Injured List With Illness
Simeon Woods Richardson (illness) was placed on the 15-day injured list on Monday with an illness, according to Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Woods Richardson is battling a stomach issue, according to manager Rocco Baldelli, and was pushed back from his scheduled start on Sunday against the Cleveland Guardians. In a corresponding move, Darren McCaughan was called up from Triple-A St. Paul. Woods Richardson was pushed back to Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers, but he won't make that start either. It's terrible timing, as the 24-year-old has not allowed more than three earned runs in any of his last eight outings to improve his season ERA to 4.24 and his season WHIP to 1.40. It's unclear when Woods Richardson will be able to return or who will take his rotation spot in the meantime.Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Bobby Nightengale
Minnesota Twins right-hander Mateusz Rebecki Drops Decision At UFC Vegas 108
Source: UFC
Mateusz Rebecki suffered a unanimous decision loss to Chris Duncan in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. Both fighters threw caution to the wind as fans couldn't believe that neither fighter was going down. Rebecki was swollen and bloody, but he never backed away from a fight. In the end, it was Duncan who would ultimately come out on top. In 15 minutes of action, Rebecki landed two takedowns and 114 significant strikes. With the loss, Rebecki dropped to 20-3 as a pro. His record in the UFC is now 4-2.Chase Brown Expected to be Used More in Passing Game

Chris Duncan Wins Three In A Row
Source: UFC
Chris Duncan extended his win streak to three when he defeated Mateusz Rebecki in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. It was a bloody and entertaining back-and-forth fight, but the judges saw Duncan as the winner at the end of the fight. Both fighters went to their limit and were swollen, cut and covered in blood, and the fight just might win the Fight of the Year award. In 15 minutes of action, Duncan landed 92 significant strikes. With the win, Duncan improved to 14-2 as a pro and is now 5-1 in the UFC.Bucky Irving Expected to Have High-Volume Role

Elves Brener Loses Three In A Row
Source: UFC
Elves Brener suffered a unanimous-decision loss to Esteban Ribovics on the main card of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. It was an entertaining back-and-forth bout, but Ribovics was the one who did a bit more with his striking. Ribovics threw more punches, but Brener was in there the whole time, firing back. In the final 30 seconds, Brener caught Ribovics with a pair of punches and was trying to finish his opponent, but it wasn't enough to get Brener the win. In 15 minutes of action, Brener landed 118 significant strikes. Brener has now lost three in a row, and his place in the leading promotion is now in question.Tanner Houck Hoping to Return in 2026
Tanner Houck (elbow) is at peace with his decision to undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery with Dr. Keith Meister at some point this week. Houck and Meister have yet to discuss whether it might be possible for him to return late in the 2026 season, but Houck is hopeful, according to Christopher Smith of Mass Live. The 29-year-old went on the injured list back on May 14 with a flexor pronator strain. He tried to pitch through it and go on a rehab assignment, but a subsequent MRI exam after five minor-league outings showed that his flexor tendon "was torn a good bit." Before he landed on the IL in May, Houck was awful for the BoSox, posting an 8.09 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 32:17 K:BB in 43 2/3 innings. There's no guarantee he'll pitch at all in 2026, and if he does, it will likely be in a relief role late in the season.Source: MassLive.com - Christopher Smith
Boston Red Sox right-hander Michael King Hit Around in First Rehab Start
Michael King (shoulder) didn't have the best minor-league rehab start on Sunday with Triple-A El Paso, as he surrendered six earned runs on four hits (two homers) while walking one and striking out five in 3 1/3 innings against Triple-A Round Rock. It wasn't a great outing for King, but it was also his first rehab start since he injured his shoulder way back on May 18. King's velocity was also down a bit while throwing 61 pitches in the outing. The 30-year-old will hope for better results his next time out on the farm, and after that (barring a setback), it's possible he'll be activated from the 60-day injured list to rejoin the big-league starting rotation. King was SD's best pitcher in the second half last year and should be picked up immediately if he's available on your league's waiver wire. In 10 starts before his injury, he had a 2.59 ERA and 64 K's in 55 2/3 innings.Source: Milb.com
San Diego Padres right-hander Hunter Greene Punches Out Seven in Rehab Start
Hunter Greene (groin) looked good on Sunday with Triple-A Louisville in his third minor-league rehab start, allowing two unearned runs on three hits while walking one and striking out seven in 3 1/3 innings pitched against Triple-A Omaha. It was a nice bounce-back outing after Greene allowed four earned runs and five hits in just 2 1/3 innings in his last rehab start while also leaving with a sore leg. The hard-throwing 25-year-old didn't appear to have any issues this time out and could be activated from the injured list to make his next start in the big leagues. Greene will have more risk surrounding him in fantasy in his first start back with the Reds, but he should absolutely be rostered in all fantasy leagues due to his ace potential when healthy. The former second overall pick had a 2.72 ERA with 73 K's in 59 2/3 innings earlier this year before his injury.Source: Milb.com
Cincinnati Reds right-hander Esteban Ribovics Returns To The Win Column
Source: UFC
Esteban Ribovics got back in the win column by defeating Elves Brener via unanimous decision on the main card of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. It was a competitive, back-and-forth fight, but Ribovics was the one pushing the pace, and his striking won him the fight as he proved that he was more effective as more faster striker. Ribovics' takedown defense was on point as well as he stuffed nine takedown attempts from Brener. In 15 minutes of action, Ribovics landed 12 significant strikes. In 15 minutes of action, Ribovics landed 122 significant strikes.Josh Downs Being Targeted "a Lot"
Josh Downs' presence is hard to miss at training camp practices and he "gets targeted a lot, and not just in the short area." Downs appears to be getting separation in practices this summer. Quarterback Daniel Jones wasn't very accurate deep down the field in his time with the New York Giants but if he's more comfortable in the short-to-intermediate areas, Fowler thinks Downs will be a primary target. The Colts' QB situation is far from settled, but Anthony Richardson Sr. is also improving in the middle of the field. The 23-year-old former third-rounder (79th overall) in 2023 out of North Carolina took the next step with a 72-803-5 line in 14 games (eight starts) a year ago. However, a lack of size and the unattractive Colts QB battle hurt Downs' overall fantasy upside as a WR4/flex.Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler writes that Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Nora Cornolle Gets Dominated At UFC Vegas 108
Source: UFC
Nora Cornolle suffered a unanimous decision loss to Karol Rosa on the main card of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. Aside from the first round, where Rosa showed some success with her striking, she got dominated for most of the fight. There was an argument that Rosa had won the opening round, but she was outclassed for the rest of the fight. In 15 minutes of action, Cornolle landed 27 significant strikes. With the loss, Cornolle has dropped to 9-3 as a pro and is now 3-2 in the UFC.DJ Moore to Have his Opportunities Maximized
DJ Moore out of the backfield as well as a receiver as new head coach Ben Johnson adds wrinkles to the offense, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler writes. Moore has the ability to line up in the backfield and still end up deep downfield for targets. Fowler adds that last year, Moore was "relegated to hopeless screen plays and looked disengaged at times." This year, the Bears will "try to maximize his opportunities in a thoughtful way." The 28-year-old had career-highs in catches (96), receiving yards (1,364) and touchdowns (nine) despite the fact that Chicago's offense struggled under rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. The addition of a more creative offensive mind in Johnson, paired with the fact that Keenan Allen is out of town, is good news for Moore's 2025 fantasy value. Treat him as a low-end WR2.Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler
The Chicago Bears will likely manufacture touches for wide receiver Karol Rosa Outclasses Nora Cornolle
Source: UFC
On Saturday's UFC Vegas 108 main card, Karol Rosa returned to the win column by outclassing Nora Cornolle across three rounds, defeating her via unanimous decision. After exchanging blows with Cornolle for much of the opening round, Rosa took her opponent down, threatened with submissions and dominated Cornolle till the end of the fight. In 15 minutes of action, Rosa landed two takedowns and 33 significant strikes. With the win, Rosa improved her MMA record to 19-7 and is now 8-4 in the UFC.Another Heavy Workload Coming for Josh Jacobs?
Josh Jacobs looked like the best player on the field at training camp the day he visited, and "his explosion suggests another heavy workload is coming." Jacobs had 301 carries in his first year in Green Bay in 2024 and has averaged 18.6 carries per game since 2022. Fowler doesn't see Jacobs' carries declining, and that could especially be true if MarShawn Lloyd (groin) cannot stay healthy. The 27-year-old's open-field cuts have looked really sharp this summer. If you decide to wait a little bit on your RB1 in fantasy drafts this year, Jacobs represents a high-floor, low-end RB1 target going into his second season with the Packers. The three-time Pro Bowler had 1,329 rushing yards and a career-best 15 touchdowns on 301 carries last year. He's still the centerpiece of this offense.Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Green Bay Packers running back Matthew Golden Looks the Part
Matthew Golden has looked the part so far in training camp, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Golden's hands (he's not a body-catcher) and his determination to be great have stood out so far, per Fowler. A person with the team pointed out Golden hadn't dropped a pass through the first week-plus of camp and he connected on a 60-yard deep pass earlier in the week. The 22-year-old first-rounder is competing for playing time right away in his first year in the NFL in what is now a crowded receiver room in Green Bay. But with Christian Watson (knee) likely to miss a good chunk of the 2025 season, Golden should have a key role in the Packers' passing attack this season. Golden's speed should serve him well and at least make him worth a WR4/5 flier later in fantasy drafts this fall.Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler
Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver J.J. Spaun Finishes Tied for 23rd at Open Championship
