MLive's Evan Woodbery reports that Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal's next start has been pushed back to Friday's series opener against the Texas Rangers after the team's game on Tuesday at Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies was postponed due to inclement weather. Rookie right-hander Jackson Jobe will now pitch on Wednesday, with Casey Mize pitching in Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Rockies on Thursday. Skubal will end up avoiding hitter-friendly Coors Field, but he'll actually get the tougher matchup in the Rangers this weekend. However, last year's American League Cy Young winner will still be a must-start in fantasy against a Texas offense that ranks 27th in the big leagues with a .643 OPS. The 28-year-old left-hander has been strong again in his seven starts in 2025, going 3-2 with a 2.21 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 48 strikeouts in 40 2/3 innings pitched.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Daulton Varsho (back) is back in center field and is hitting sixth in the batting order for Tuesday's contest on the road in Anaheim against the Los Angeles Angels and left-hander Tyler Anderson. Varsho will return to action after missing the last two games due to back tightness that caused him to be scratched from Sunday's game. The 28-year-old will be playing in only his sixth game of the year after having offseason shoulder surgery and started the regular season on the injured list. He has so far gone 3-for-14 with two home runs, three RBI, a steal and three runs scored in his first 17 plate appearances. Fantasy managers in season-long leagues will want to get him back into their starting lineups. In 12 career at-bats against Anderson, Varsho is hitting .583 with a 1.698 OPS, one home run and five RBI.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. will get a breather on Tuesday against the division-rival Kansas City Royals. With Robert on the bench, Michael Taylor will patrol center field and bat in the nine-hole against Royals right-hander Seth Lugo. Robert will take a much-needed day off after starting each of the team's last 16 games. The 27-year-old hit .241/.371/.483 with four home runs and nine stolen bases over those 16 games. The Cuban outfielder does have 15 steals on the year in 117 at-bats, but he's hitting a disappointing .188 (22 hits) with five home runs, 15 RBI and 19 runs scored as the team's everyday center fielder. Fantasy managers setting DFS lineups can do better than Taylor, who is hitting just .191 (13-for-68) with a homer, six RBI and three steals as a reserve outfielder. He's hitting .091 with a .182 OPS in 11 career at-bats against Lugo.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

Chicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi (calf) remains out of the starting nine on Tuesday. Benintendi was also held out of action on Monday due to calf tightness. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to Wednesday's game. The 30-year-old exited Sunday's contest early due to this injury. This evening, the White Sox will give Brooks Baldwin the starting nod in left field, and he will bat in the seven-hole. Before his injury, Benintendi held a modest .224/.298/.400 slash line with five home runs across his first 24 games of the regular season. Under the hood, the 30-year-old generated a weak .219 xBA but showed a strong eye at the plate, as he only struck out at a 17.9 percent rate. When healthy, he should continue to have an everyday role in left field. This evening, Baldwin is best to fade in DFS facing Kansas City right-hander Seth Lugo.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Chicago White Sox

Minnesota Twins outfielder Harrison Bader (illness) was scratched from the starting nine on Tuesday due to an illness. Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reported that it is possible Bader is deployed off the bench. Instead, Willi Castro will get the starting nod in left field and bat in the nine-hole. Bader is currently riding an impressive eight-game hitting streak. During this stretch, Bader has held a .429/.484/.536 slash line with three doubles, two RBI, and one stolen base. Prior to this streak, Bader held a modest .215/.311/.369 slash line over his first 24 games of the campaign. Fantasy managers should monitor his status leading up to Wednesday's contest. This evening, Castro is worth a look in DFS as he will face Baltimore southpaw Cade Povich, who enters this game holding a 5.16 ERA.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Aaron Gleeman

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Zach Eflin (lat) traveled with the team to Minnesota and is set to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday. Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun noted that the southpaw's rehab start went well and that he is close to returning. Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on his bullpen session as this could potentially set him up to return to action this weekend. During his rehab start at High-A, Eflin logged four shutout innings. He allowed two hits and struck out four. Before his injury, Eflin held a solid 3.00 ERA with a stellar 0.83 WHIP. He struck out eight batters in 18 innings of work, but he showed strong command as he served up walks at a 1.5 percent rate. When he does return, he will be a viable SP3 in all formats, especially when looking to boost your team's WHIP.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Matt Weyrich

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Tyler O'Neill (neck) is set to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday. This is an excellent sign for the 29-year-old as he appears to be nearing a return to action. O'Neill has been sidelined since April 24 with neck soreness. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression as he could be cleared to return this weekend to begin a series against the Angels. Before his injury, O'Neill held a .215/.284/.385 slash line with three doubles, one triple, and two home runs across 18 contests. During this stretch, he generated an elite 17.4 percent barrel rate with a strong .506 xSLG. When he does return to action, he should continue to see an everyday role in right field. Given his power upside, he is worth holding on to in five-outfielder leagues.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Cordell Woodland

The San Diego Padres have activated outfielder Jackson Merrill (hamstring) off the 10-day injured list prior to their contest against the New York Yankees on Tuesday. In a corresponding move, the Padres optioned backstop Luis Campusano to Triple-A El Paso. The sophomore outfielder has been sidelined since April 6 with a right hamstring strain. Before his injury, the former top prospect was enjoying an impressive start to his second MLB season, holding a .378/.415/.676 slash line with three home runs and one stolen base. During his debut campaign in 2024, Merrill was the everyday center fielder and posted a solid .292/.326/.500 line with 24 home runs and 16 stolen bases. Fantasy managers should expect Merrill to remain a high-end OF2 given his five-category potential.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: San Diego Padres

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Sal Frelick (knee) remains out of the lineup on Tuesday but is hoping to return to action on Friday. According to Jack Stern of the Brewer Fanatic, the outfielder is feeling better and was able to do some light jogging and even took swings in the batter's cage. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his status leading up to their contest on Friday evening against the Tampa Bay Rays. The 25-year-old suffered this injury during their contest against the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. Through his first 35 games of the season, Frelich has enjoyed a strong start, holding a .297/.381/.398 slash line with five doubles, two triples, and seven stolen bases. While he remains sidelined, Jake Bauers should continue to see time in right field.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Jack Stern

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Ivan Herrera (knee) is scheduled to catch seven innings in a minor-league rehab game for Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday night, according to manager Oliver Marmol. Herrera is close to rejoining the Cardinals, and if his game at Memphis goes well on Tuesday, he could rejoin the team on their upcoming road trip, which begins on Friday in D.C. against the Washington Nationals. The 24-year-old has gone 6-for-14 with a home run and a double in his first four rehab starts for Memphis. Fantasy managers in need of catching help might want to add Herrera now if he's available on the waiver wire. When he returns to St. Louis, he'll be the club's primary catcher after starting the season on fire by going 8-for-21 with four home runs, 11 RBI and six runs scored in his first seven games. Herrera has been out since suffering a bone bruise on his left knee on April 6.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com - John Denton

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Tommy Edman (ankle) is unlikely to come off the injured list during this weekend's series in Arizona against the division-rival Diamondbacks, according to manager Dave Roberts. Edman will do some running on Tuesday, and Roberts said his ankle hasn't responded as fast as the team initially anticipated. It's more likely that Edman will return from the IL after next Monday's off day. The Dodgers could use the 29-year-old back with Teoscar Hernandez (groin) landing on the IL, but they aren't going to rush anything. Until Edman is able to return, rookie Hyeseong Kim and Kike Hernandez figure to split playing time at the keystone in L.A. Edman is on pace for a career-high in homers after already hitting eight in 30 games in 2025 before his injury. It's possible he's back for the series opener on May 13 against the Athletics.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: The Los Angeles Times - Jack Harris

Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Joey Bart and outfielder Tommy Pham will start Tuesday's game against the division-rival St. Louis Cardinals on the bench at Busch Stadium. Henry Davis is catching and hitting ninth, while Alexander Canario will start in left field and bat fifth against Cardinals left-hander Matthew Liberatore. Although Bart has just one long ball on the season in 87 at-bats, he's done well as Pittsburgh's primary catcher with a strong .276 average (24-for-87) with seven RBI, seven runs and a stolen base. The 28-year-old will take a seat after starting the last four games. Pham could use a rest after going 2-for-18 of late as the team's primary left fielder. Canario is starting to see more playing time of late with Pham slumping, though. Davis has never faced Liberatore in his career, while Canario is hitless against him in just three at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder James Outman was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday and is making his 2025 MLB debut on Tuesday against the hosting Miami Marlins, starting in center field and batting eighth against Marlins right-hander Cal Quantrill. The 27-year-old is taking the roster spot of Teoscar Hernandez (groin), who landed on the 10-day injured list. With Tommy Edman (ankle) also on the shelf for L.A., Outman could play regularly for the Dodgers, at least against right-handed pitchers. Before joining the Dodgers for the first time this year, Outman was swinging it well with a .254/.322/.508 with an .830 OPS, eight home runs, 27 RBI and five stolen bases in 32 games with OKC. The former seventh-rounder only hit .147 (20-for-136) with 55 K's in 156 trips to the plate in 2024, but he's at least worth a short-term look as outfield depth in NL-only leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Mookie Betts is not in the team's starting lineup for Tuesday's contest in Miami against the hosting Marlins. Veteran Miguel Rojas will start at short and bat seventh against Marlins right-hander Cal Quantrill. This will be Betts' first game on the bench since March 29 after he was still building up his strength that caused him to miss the club's two-game season-opening series in Tokyo, Japan, against the Chicago Cubs. The 32-year-old eight-time All-Star and former MVP cooled off a bit after a hot start, but he's gone 12-for-33 (.364) with a homer, double, triple, 10 RBI and 12 runs scored in his last eight games since April 27. Betts continues to be a must-start in L.A.'s dangerous lineup when he's on the field. Rojas is a low-upside DFS play at shortstop and is hitting .400 in just five career at-bats against Quantrill.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com
