Per MLB.com's Sonja Chen, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez (foot) is expected to return for Wednesday's road matchup with the Milwaukee Brewers. The Dominican Republic native missed his team's previous two contests after fouling a ball off his foot in Saturday's loss to the Astros. Presumably, testing came back negative, as he's set to rejoin the team only a few days later. Apparently, Hernandez was feeling well enough to potentially be used off the bench in Monday's meeting with Milwaukee, but wasn't needed in a 9-1 defeat. The 32-year-old is caught in a bit of a slump, going 3-for-24 (.125) over his last seven appearances.--Alex CiullaSource: Sonja Chen

Colorado Rockies outfield prospect Robert Calaz was named California League Player of the Week after going 9-for-21 (.429) with a double, four home runs, eight RBI, four runs scored, and a 2:4 BB:K in six games for Single-A Fresno. The Rockies' third-ranked prospect is slashing .277/.341/476 with nine home runs, 36 RBI, and 26 runs scored through 55 games for the Grizzlies. The 6-foot-2 Dominican hit .325 in the Dominican Summer League in 2023, won the Arizona Complex League triple crown, and then hit .327 in 13 games at Single-A last year, showing strong exit velocities along the way. He's excelling at every turn, and at 19 years old there's still plenty of room to grow, so he's a prospect to keep tabs on as he has the makings of a quick riser.--Jarod RuppSource: MiLB.com

Boston Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman (quadriceps) could be activated from the 10-day injured list later this week, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports. Manager Alex Cora noted that Bregman had a "heavy" workload today, with another one scheduled for tomorrow. Depending on how his body responds to the ramped-up activity, it's possible that he could return for the start of their series with the visiting Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday. It's excellent news for the 31-year-old, as Cora also proclaimed he "feels great." The Red Sox will assess him over the next few days, but it sounds like Bregman is likely to get back on the field in short order. He holds a strong .299/.385/.553 triple slash with 11 home runs, 32 runs scored, and 35 RBI through 51 contests.--Alex CiullaSource: Christopher Smith

MLB.com's Steve Gilbert reports that Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte (groin) was out of the lineup for Monday's series opener with the hosting San Diego Padres due to groin tightness. The switch-hitting 31-year-old was a late scratch for the road outing, so it's nice to know at least what he's dealing with. Per the team, he's considered day-to-day. It's good news for Marte, even if we don't fully understand the mechanism of the injury. Fantasy managers should closely monitor the situation, though it doesn't sound like he'll miss too much time. Teammate Blaze Alexander got the start at the keystone for Monday's outing and should handle most of the opportunities at second base until his All-Star counterpart returns.--Alex CiullaSource: Steve Gilbert

St. Louis Cardinals shortstop prospect J.J. Wetherholt has been promoted to Triple-A Memphis after cruising through 62 games at Double-A Springfield. The Cardinals' top-ranked prospect hit .300 with seven home runs and 14 stolen bases, while registering a .425 OBP thanks to a strong 16.0 percent walk rate, which was higher than his strikeout rate of 14.5 percent. The seventh overall pick in the 2024 Draft showed more of the same last year at Single-A, displaying strong contact skills and walking more than he struck out. With a strong showing at Triple-A, the 22-year-old could make a case for a September call-up. Regardless of whether or not that happens, fantasy managers should expect the left-handed hitter to have fantasy relevance at some point next season.--Jarod RuppSource: MiLB Central

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider reports that right-hander Alek Manoah (elbow) is expected to throw two simulated innings Tuesday in Florida. Manoah will then either toss another live session or move on to a rehab game. The 27-year-old underwent Tommy John surgery last June and is aiming to return from the 60-day injured list in mid to late August. Manoah made only five starts in 2024, posting a 3.70 ERA and 1.03 WHIP across 24 1/3 innings. He'll look to contribute meaningful innings this fall for a contending Blue Jays team.--Julian BrookeSource: Shi Davidi

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Daulton Varsho (hamstring) ran the bases Monday and is expected to do so again Wednesday. He is likely to begin a rehab assignment by early next week. The 29-year-old was placed on the injured list June 1 with a left hamstring strain and could return as early as mid-July. Before the injury, Varsho was slashing .207/.240/.543 in 24 games during his third season with the Blue Jays. Fantasy managers should watch Varsho closely, as he is likely to see consistent playing time for a surging Blue Jays team upon his return.--Julian BrookeSource: Shi Davidi

San Diego Padres right-hander Michael King (shoulder) played catch Monday and is expected to stretch it out to 120 feet Tuesday. King is scheduled to throw off a mound for the first time Thursday, although the team is not officially calling it a bullpen session. The 30-year-old was placed on the 60-day injured list May 25 with a long thoracic nerve injury in his right shoulder. King made 10 starts before the injury in his second year with the Padres, posting a 2.59 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 64 strikeouts in 55 2/3 innings. He is expected to return between late August and early September.--Julian BrookeSource: Jeff Sanders

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed that right-hander Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) will make his first start off the injured list Wednesday against the Milwaukee Brewers. Glasnow was placed on the injured list April 28, one day after exiting a one-inning start with shoulder discomfort. He completed 4 1/3 solid innings in his third rehab outing with Triple-A Oklahoma City, giving Roberts enough confidence to start him. The 31-year-old had made five starts before the injury, posting a 4.50 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and a .185 opponents average. The upside remains for fantasy managers, but durability continues to be the biggest concern.--Julian BrookeSource: Kirsten Watson

Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte (groin) was scratched ahead of Monday night's matchup against the San Diego Padres with groin tightness. The 31-year-old was originally penciled in at second base but ended up being a late scratch. With Marte sidelined, Blaze Alexander will get the start instead and bat ninth. Alexander has shown flashes of potential in extremely limited action and will look to make the most of his opportunity. Fantasy managers should closely monitor Marte's status, but he remains day-to-day for now.--Julian BrookeSource: Steve Gilbert

San Francisco Giants infielder Casey Schmitt (hand) has been activated off the 10-day injured list on Monday. Schmitt is back in the mix after being sidelined since late June due to hand inflammation. He'll jump right back into the lineup batting sixth and playing second base versus left-hander Cristopher Sanchez on Monday. Schmitt is slashing .276/.360/.439 with four home runs and 15 RBI across 34 games this season. He should offer some deep league appeal, but won't have much value outside of that. In a corresponding move, infielder Tyler Fitzgerald has been optioned to Triple-A.--Andy WebbSource: Justice De Los Santos

Houston Astros outfielder Chas McCormick (oblique) is scheduled to join Triple-A Sugar Land for a rehab assignment starting on Tuesday. McCormick continues to work his way back from an oblique strain that has kept him sidelined since the beginning of June. The hope is that McCormick can return to the Astros roster shortly after the All-Star break. Before going down, McCormick was slashing .256/.347/.302 with two RBI and one stolen base in 36 games. He's not someone that needs to be rostered in fantasy leagues right now.--Andy WebbSource: Brian McTaggart

Houston Astros starting pitcher Cristian Javier (elbow) was able to throw two innings of live batting practice. Javier continues to work his way back from Tommy John surgery from last year. The hope is that Javier can head out on a rehab assignment shortly after the All-Star break. The assumption is that Javier is going to need a few rehab starts before rejoining the Astros rotation. Possibly, Javier can be an option for the Astros over the last month or two of the season. He's not someone that needs to be stashed at the moment in fantasy leagues.--Andy WebbSource: Brian McTaggart

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Enrique Hernandez (elbow) has been placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday. Hernandez has reportedly been dealing with elbow inflammation for a while now, so the team decided to give him some time off. Luckily, Hernandez is dealing with inflammation in his non-throwing arm, so hopefully he'll be able to return faster. In a corresponding move, outfielder James Outman has been recalled from Triple-A. Outman figures to serve as a depth option in the outfield over the next few weeks. Outman will bat ninth and cover center field versus right-hander Freddy Peralta on Monday. The left-handed slugger is 3-for-24 at the big league level this season, so he's not an ideal fantasy option.--Andy WebbSource: Los Angeles Dodgers

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene (groin) was expected to take the ball for Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday. Now that won't happen after Greene experienced renewed tightness in his right groin. The right-hander underwent an MRI on Monday after feeling discomfort in his groin. For now, the Reds are taking it day-by-day, but Greene figures to be out until the end of July. Fantasy managers will have a better idea after the MRI results are in. Greene has been out since June 4 due to a Grade 1 right groin strain. There was some hope Greene could pitch before the All-Star break, but that is over now. Fantasy managers can be hopeful to get something out of Greene before the end of the month.--Andy WebbSource: Charlie Goldsmith
