Undefeated Michael Morales picked up a first-round TKO win over former title challenger Gilbert Burns in the main event of UFC Vegas 106 on Saturday. Morales hurt and dropped Burns with a heavy right hand, dropping him. Burns managed to survive for a bit, but Morales knocked him down again with another nasty flurry and finished him with ground punches. In 3:39 of action, Morales landed 33 significant strikes. On Saturday, Sodiq Yusuff suffered a unanimous decision loss to Mairon Santos in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 106. The fight was mostly on the feet, and Yusuff just didn't do enough to walk out victorious. After being beaten by Edson Barboza and Diego Lopes, loss to Santos marks Yusuff's third consecutive loss. Initially set to feature in a main card clash, Santos' return against Yusuff was promoted to a co-main event after Rodolfo Bellato was forced to pull out from his clash with Paul Craig. The fight was mostly a striking battle, and Santos was calm and collected as he proved he was a better striker en route to a unanimous decision win. Dustin Stoltzfus suffered a unanimous decision loss to Nursulton Ruziboev on the main card of UFC Vegas 106 on Saturday. It was a close, gruelling fight, and both men had their moments, but Ruziboev was better on the feet and landed the more damaging shots, so that was why he got the unanimous decision victory over Stoltzfus.
