Chicago Bears quarterback
Case Keenum (undisclosed) was placed on the active/Non-Football Injury list on Saturday. The veteran agreed to a one-year deal with the Bears in April after missing the entire 2024 campaign because of a foot injury. He has suited up for seven teams throughout his career before his arrival in Chicago, throwing for 15,175 yards, 79 touchdowns, and 51 interceptions off 62.3% passing in 80 regular-season contests. Keenum is projected to be the No. 3 quarterback on the depth chart. While he should provide valuable guidance to
Caleb Williams, he likely won't see much, if any, on-field action in 2025. Keenum can start practicing immediately once he's medically cleared.

Austin Hooper (undisclosed) was placed on the active/Physically Unable to Perform list on Saturday. He won't practice to begin training camp, although he is eligible once medically cleared. The 30-year-old has appeared in 139 regular-season games for the Falcons, Browns, Titans, Raiders, and Patriots since entering the NFL in 2016, amassing 409 catches for 4,178 yards and 28 touchdowns. Hooper is listed behind
Hunter Henry on the depth chart. That likely won't change unless Henry goes down with an injury. Even then, Hooper won't be considered a trustworthy fantasy option. With that in mind, he's not expected to see attention from managers in any fantasy format during drafts heading into the 2025 campaign.

Stefon Diggs (knee) won't start training camp on the active/PUP list. According to Mike Reiss of ESPN,
Austin Hooper, Vederian Lowe, and Jahlani Tavai are the only three Patriots opening up camp on the active/PUP list. Diggs is a full go to participate in training camp and trending in the right direction to suit up in Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders. The 31-year-old has made incredible progress working his back from a torn ACL in Week 8 of last season. Reiss did add that the active/non-football list can change at any time. Diggs signed a three-year, $69 million contract with New England during the offseason and is expected to be quarterback
Drake Maye's No. 1 target when healthy. Diggs is currently RotoBaller's WR48 in current offseason rankings, but expect his fantasy stock to go up with the latest news.

The Los Angeles Rams reached an agreement on Saturday with second-round tight end
Terrance Ferguson on a four-year, $9,713,466 contract, including $8,046,753 in guarantees, according to his agent Steve Caric. The Rams took Ferguson with the 46th overall pick in April's NFL draft out of Oregon. The 22-year-old consistently produced for the Ducks and had his best season in 2024, catching 43 passes for 591 yards and three touchdowns. While Ferguson won't be drafted in standard-sized redraft leagues this fall, he represents valuable insurance for
Tyler Higbee, who played in only three regular-season games in 2024 due to injury. Ferguson has good size at 6-foot-5 and 247 pounds, but he may need to prove to the coaching staff that he's able to handle himself as a blocker before he can overtake Higbee as the primary pass-catching TE.

The Cincinnati Bengals and second-round linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. agreed to a four-year rookie deal on Saturday with almost 80 percent fully guaranteed at signing, sources told FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz. It is the first time in NFL history that the 49th overall pick has had guarantees in Year 4 of his contract. Knight is now under contract just in time for the team's rookies to report to training camp on Saturday. The 24-year-old from South Carolina stands at 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds and is expected to compete for playing time in his first year in the NFL next to linebacker Logan Wilson. After drafting Knight in the second round back in April, the Bengals released Germaine Pratt to free up a spot.

The San Francisco 49ers placed safety Malik Mustapha (knee), defensive lineman Yetur Gross-Matos (undisclosed), offensive lineman Andre Dillard (undisclosed) and linebacker Curtis Robinson (undisclosed) on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list on Friday. Additionally, offensive lineman Ben Bartch (undisclosed) and safety George Odum (knee) were placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list. Although there is no timetable for his return, the 23-year-old Mustapha is probably not going to be ready for the start of 2025 regular season after tearing his ACL in Week 17 of last year. When he's fully recovered from his knee injury, he figures to be a starting safety for the 49ers defense. It's unclear what Gross-Matos is dealing with, but he did miss a big chunk of time in 2024 with a knee injury. All players can be activated from the PUP and NFI list at any time during camp.

Richie James announced on X on Friday that he is retiring from professional football. "It took time but i have come to realize I am retired from the NFL. Seventh round out of MTSU. I feel like I was just a ballplayer to last that long. Unfortunately, my knee never healed properly. I was playing hurt since 2022. Oh well. I gave everything I got to the game of football," James wrote. The 29-year-old was originally selected 240th overall in the seventh round by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2018 NFL draft out of Middle Tennessee State. He played the first three years of his career in the Bay Area before joining the New York Giants in 2022. James last played for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2023. He will finish his five-year career with 105 catches on 143 targets for 1,372 yards and seven touchdowns in 66 regular-season games (15 starts).

TreVeyon Henderson signed his four-year rookie deal on Friday. According to Aaron Wilson, Henderson will get a fully guaranteed contract. The second-round rookie has reportedly looked good in practices, which is raising his draft stock. Henderson figures to split up the backfield duties with
Rhamondre Stevenson to begin the season. The potential is certainly there for Henderson, but he's unlikely to be a workhorse back with Stevenson healthy. There should still be high-end RB3 value with Henderson likely getting involved in the passing game as well.
