Josh Downs Not Productive In Week 12 Loss
Josh Downs was limited to just three catches for 27 yards in Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Lions. Downs, who had been the Colts' most reliable pass catcher over the course of the season, tied Michael Pittman Jr. for a team-high seven targets, but couldn't translate it into production. Richardson completed only 39.3% of his passes (11-for-28), so there wasn't much fantasy goodness to be had and blame should probably be placed on the QB and some untimely penalties rather than on Downs. The 23-year-old also exited briefly due to a shoulder injury but was able to return shortly thereafter. The Patriots pose less of a challenge in Week 13 and Downs will have a good chance to get back on track despite Richardson's deficiencies. Keep an eye on his practice status throughout the week, as the former third-round draft pick likely slots in as a WR3 if healthy.Source: ESPN
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Jonathan Taylor A Non-Factor In Week 12
Jonathan Taylor was held to just 35 scoreless yards on 11 carries in Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Lions, and he was not targeted in the passing game. The former second-round pick hasn't really been involved in the passing game anyway, but with Anthony Richardson being reinserted under center, the mobile quarterback has negatively impacted Taylor's role in the offense. Richardson totaled 61 yards on 10 carries on Sunday, and last week, it was Richardson who scored twice on the ground -- not Taylor. It hasn't helped that the Colts have played the Jets and the Lions, two teams that have been good against the run. Things should get a bit easier next week against the Patriots, but with the reemergence of Richardson's legs and with Taylor a non-factor through the air, the 25-year-old will likely get bounced from the ranks of RB1 status.Source: ESPN
Indianapolis Colts running back Michael Pittman Jr. Leads Colts Receivers In Week 12 Loss
Michael Pittman Jr. led the Indy receiving corps in Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Lions, tying Josh Downs with a team-high seven targets and turning it into six receptions for 96 yards. No other Colt receiver had more than three catches or 39 yards. It was an encouraging performance on a day where Anthony Richardson completed just 11 passes on 28 attempts. It was the second consecutive week in which the 27-year-old recorded at least seven targets and five catches with Richardson under center. The Colts will take on the Patriots in Week 13 who just allowed Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill to total 192 yards receiving on 13 catches, so Pittman Jr. has a chance to keep the momentum going so long as Richardson keeps feeding him targets.Source: ESPN
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Anthony Richardson Comes Up Empty In Week 12 Loss
Anthony Richardson reverted to his inefficient ways on Sunday in a 24-6 loss to the Lions. A week after completing 66.7% of his passes and accounting for three touchdowns (one pass, two rush), the 22-year-old completed just 11 of 28 pass attempts (39.3%) for 172 yards and no TDs. He added 10 rushes for 61 yards, but no scores there either. On the bright side, the second-year pro did not turn the ball over at all. It's the third time in his last four starts that he's failed to complete more than 11 passes or surpass 175 yards, and the former first-round draft pick has thrown just two TD passes during that time, so managers are relying on rushing TDs which makes him a risky play from week-to-week. Week 13 brings a matchup with the Patriots who just allowed Tua Tagovailoa to shred them for 317 yards and four TDs, but it's hard to envision Richardson having that kind of success.Source: ESPN
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Indianapolis Defense Not A Preferred Option In Week 12
The Indianapolis Colts will play a home game this weekend, but for fantasy managers considering using the Indy defense this week, it might be best to see what other options are available for streaming on the waiver wire. The Colts' WeekAdonai Mitchell A Risky Fantasy Play In Week 12
Adonai Mitchell made a splash in Week 10 without Michael Pittman Jr. (six catches, 71 yards) but reverted to his status as the No. 4 receiver in Week 11 (one catch, 33 yards) and will assume that role again in Week 12 with a fully healthy receiving corps. The 22-year-old has speed and uses it for deep targets, sitting just outside the top 10 WRs in aDOT (14.2). However, without volume and with a notoriously inaccurate QB, the former second-round draft pick makes for a very risky fantasy play. If you're looking for a reason to use him, there is a strong possibility that as seven-point underdogs, the Colts will be trying to keep pace with the Lions for the entire game, which could mean a few additional deep targets for the rookie wideout. The product out of the University of Texas is a WR5/6 dart throw, even in a week with six teams on bye.Source: ESPN
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce Brings Big-Play Ability Into Week 12 Matchup With Lions
Alec Pierce owns the largest percentage of his team's air yards (28.15%), but not only that, he leads the entire NFL in average depth of target (21.25) -- and it isn't even close. The downside for him is that he's received just four targets or less in eight of 11 contests. On the bright side, the 24-year-old usually makes the most of it, leading his team in reception yards (although Josh Downs is not far behind despite playing two fewer games) while recording a 30-plus yard reception in five of 11 weeks. Pierce figures to earn his usual share of deep shots in Week 12's matchup against the Lions, especially if the Colts -- who are seven-point underdogs -- find themselves trailing late in the game. The former second-round draft pick ranks in the WR5 range this week, but with his four TDs on the season, the third-year pro does possess some upside.Source: ESPN

Jonathan Taylor A Back-End RB1 Versus Detroit In Week 12
Jonathan Taylor was held to under 100 total yards rushing and receiving last Sunday for the second time in three weeks. While Week 12's showdown with the Lions looks like another tough matchup on paper, with the Lions allowing the fifth-fewest rushing yards per game thus far and the fourth-fewest fantasy points to running backs, if the Colts wish to keep this game close then they will have to run the ball to kill the clock and limit Detroit's opportunities, which in turn should benefit the 25-year-old. If the game gets out of reach, however, the Colts will find themselves in catch-up mode using the passing game, which Taylor has not been heavily involved in to this point, averaging less than two receptions per game for less than 14 yards per contest. Nevertheless, the talented former second-round draft pick projects as a back-end RB1 this week.Source: ESPN

Colts Bring Back Mark Glowinski To Practice Squad
Source: NFL.com
The Indianapolis Colts signed offensive guard Mark Glowinski to the practiced squad on Thursday, according to NFL.com. The 32-year-old spent four seasons with the Colts before signing with the New York Giants in 2022, starting 59 games for Indianapolis. While there are likely no immediate plans for Glowinski to enter the starting lineup, adding offensive line depth is never a bad idea.Adonai Mitchell Sees Minimal Work Against Jets
Adonai Mitchell had a quiet Sunday afternoon in the team's 28-27 win over the New York Jets. The rookie was able to catch one of his two targets for a big gain of 33 yards and received one carry for two yards. The Colts' offense was able to outduel the Jets in a big way as Anthony Richardson threw 20-for-30 with 272 yards. Mitchell just hasn't built consistent chemistry and remains lower in the pecking order compared to Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs, and Alec Pierce. He'll look to break off some big plays against a tough Detroit Lions defense in Week 12.Source: ESPN
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce With Another Long Catch In Week 11
Alec Pierce had another one of his trademark long catches on Sunday, recording a 39-yarder, along with a 16-yard and 19-yard reception, totaling 74 yards on his three catches. A week after seeing a season-high in targets, with the return of Michael Pittman Jr., the 24-year-old had the third-most targets on the day for the Colts with four. With the performance, the former second-round pick maintained his team-lead in receiving yards with 590, 23 yards more than Josh Downs (567). Pierce figures to see similar target share and air yards next week against the Lions which will leave him in the WR4/5 range.Source: ESPN
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Jonathan Taylor Held In Check By Jets Defense In Week 11
Jonathan Taylor was bottled up by the Jets defense on Sunday, allowing the 25-year-old to gain just 57 yards on 24 carries, good for only 2.4 yards per carry. He added one catch for three yards as well, but was unable to find paydirt on the ground or through the air. Nevertheless, the Colts were able to pull out the 28-27 victory in the Meadowlands anyway. The Jets hadn't been as strong against the run in recent weeks but reasserted itself on Sunday, with the exception of allowing quarterback Anthony Richardson to score twice on the ground. Taylor will have another tall task on tap in Week 12 against the Lions, a top-five defense against the run, but the former second-round draft pick likely still slots in as an RB1 again.Source: ESPN
