New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that there are no new plans for outfielder/designated
Giancarlo Stanton (elbows). Stanton stayed back in New York during the team's road trip to continue ramping up. The 35-year-old veteran power hitter took batting practice last Tuesday for the first time since he had several rounds of platelet-rich plasma injections in both of his elbows. Things continue to go slowly for Stanton while he deals with torn tendons in both of his elbows, and there's still the potential that he won't play at all this season if he has any kind of setback. Until then, though, he needs to be held in most fantasy leagues due to his power potential when healthy. There remains no timeline for his potential return, which means he'll likely be out until at least June. In the meantime,
Ben Rice should continue to benefit from regular at-bats in the DH spot.

Baltimore Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that infielder
Jordan Westburg (hamstring) is day-to-day, but he's not in the starting lineup on Monday against the division-rival New York Yankees at Camden Yards. "We're staying optimistic and hopeful," Hyde said. This will mark Westburg's second straight day out of the starting lineup due to a hamstring injury. The 26-year-old had testing done on Monday. Although he's considered day-to-day for now, Westburg could still be a candidate to land on the injured list if he's unable to return to the starting lineup the rest of this week.
Ramon Urias will make the start at third base and bat seventh on Monday against Yankees right-hander
Will Warren. So far in 2025, Westburgh hasn't done much offensively, hitting .217/.265/.391 with four homers, six RBI and 12 runs scored. Fantasy managers will need to check back on Tuesday to see if he's back in the starting lineup.

Cedric Mullins (illness) is starting in center field and is hitting cleanup for Monday's series opener against the division-rival New York Yankees at Camden Yards. Mullins will face Yankees right-hander
Will Warren, who he has never faced in his career. The 30-year-old outfielder didn't play in Sunday's series finale against the Detroit Tigers because he didn't feel well, but he's back in action a day later. Since being moved to the leadoff spot by the O's on April 18, Mullins has gone 8-for-31 (.258) with two home runs, three RBI, two steals and five runs scored in 37 trips to the plate. Overall, he's hitting a solid .279/.421/.547 with six home runs, 20 RBI, five steals and 17 runs scored in the first month of the season. Mullins has added DFS appeal against righties as long as he's in the leadoff spot. Return him to your fantasy lineups to begin the week.

Adley Rutschman (hand) is doing the catching for right-hander
Tomoyuki Sugano on Monday and is hitting third against the division-rival New York Yankees and right-hander
Will Warren at Camden Yards. Rutschman did not play on Sunday against the Detroit Tigers due to a sore right hand that stemmed from when he blocked all ball in the dirt on Saturday. It wasn't a serious concern, though, and the 27-year-old backstop will end up missing just one game. Rutschman has been a disappointment for fantasy manager early on in the season, hitting just .209 (19-for-91) with four home runs, eight RBI and 12 runs scored. He's been especially bad in the last 11 games, going 5-for-37 (.135) with a homer, two RBI, seven walks and 10 strikeouts. We're expecting the former No. 1 overall pick to turn things around sooner than later.

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder
Chandler Simpson went 3-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Padres. The 24-year-old has been superb since his call-up from Triple-A, collecting a hit in each of his first eight games, going 12-for-30 (.400) with three stolen bases and a 3:4 BB:K, so he does not appear to be overmatched. He's made some spectacular plays on defense as well. A plethora of outfielder injuries was one reason for his call-up, but the 5-foot-11 speedster looks like he's ready to be a mainstay in Tampa. As electric as he's been, the Rays' seventh-ranked prospect is still available in over 60 percent of Yahoo! leagues, but that number should be much higher.

Seattle Mariners closer
Andres Munoz needed just nine pitches to earn his league-leading 10th save of the season on Sunday, nailing down the 7-6 win over the Marlins. The 26-year-old has been a force in 2025, tossing 14 innings of scoreless ball, allowing just five hits and six walks while striking out 18 (23.5 percent K-BB%). The 6-foot-2 hurler has picked up a win along the way as well, leaving him as the highest-scoring fantasy reliever through the first month of the season. This is one of the few bullpens with no question marks, with Munoz the unquestioned closer in Seattle. Continue to deploy him with confidence.

Jordan Romano came on in the 10th inning of Sunday's matchup with the Cubs, dispatching Chicago on 13 pitches to secure the 3-1 victory and record the save. It was the righty's second save of the season, but he's not expected to log many more, as lefty
Jose Alvarado remains the team's primary closer. Romano hasn't pitched particularly well anyhow, allowing 14 earned runs in 10 1/3 innings (12.19 ERA), posting a 2.03 WHIP and a 7.8 percent K-BB%. Perhaps he can get on a roll and become more relevant in leagues that score for holds, as the 32-year-old does have three of those so far in addition to his two saves.

Tampa Bay Rays closer
Pete Fairbanks secured the 4-2 victory over the Padres on Sunday, pitching a clean ninth to record his sixth save of the season. Other than a tad too many walks, Fairbanks has been good this season, posting a 2.38 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and a 6:10 BB:K over 11 1/3 innings pitched. The 6-foot-6 hurler has saved 48 games for the Rays over the previous two seasons, but spent time on the injured list twice last year which has been a theme throughout his career, never having pitched more than 45 1/3 innings in the majors. If he can remain healthy this year, it looks like he'd be on track to potentially set career highs in IP and saves, although he doesn't strike out nearly as many as he used to, down to a career low of 7.94 K/9 thus far in 2025.

Luis Urias went 1-for-3 with a walk and a walk-off two-run home run in Sunday's 3-2 extra-innings win over the White Sox. It was the second consecutive game with a home run for the 27-year-old and the fourth straight game with a hit. Urias has taken over as the regular second baseman ever since
Max Muncy was optioned on April 23 and has been making the most of his opportunities. For the season, the right-handed hitter is slashing .275/.348/.575 with four home runs and a 5:6 BB:K in 47 plate appearances. He'll get a chance to keep rolling on Monday as the A's take on the Rangers'
Patrick Corbin, whom Urias is 5-for-13 off of lifetime, including one home run. Urias is usually a cheap DFS option and should be under consideration while he's hitting well.

Boston Red Sox third baseman
Rafael Devers went 2-for-6 with a home run in his team's 13-3 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday. Devers added a single and two runs scored while striking out twice. The veteran has had a rough go to begin 2025, but broke out of a 0-for-15 slump over the weekend with a 5-for-13 performance in their series with the Guardians. He's still making excellent contact, and severely underperforming his .260 xBA (.216), so his hot-hitting from this weekend could be the spark that sends him on an upward trajectory for the remainder of the season. The 28-year-old currently holds the highest walk rate of his career (16.8%), and is impacting the ball harder than ever (95.1 MPH average exit velocity) and more often (60% hard-hit rate).

Per the team, the Atlanta Braves have optioned outfielder
Jarred Kelenic to the Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers and signed outfielder
Eddie Rosario to a major-league contract in a corresponding move. Kelenic, a former first-round pick, hasn't gotten it going at the big-league level, and he's started 2025 incredibly poorly. Despite a hit in four of his last six appearances, the 25-year-old is slashing a disastrous .167/.231/.300 over 60 at-bats (ten hits). Rosario signed a minor-league deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers a few months back and went 1-for-4 in his only two appearances with LA roughly ten days ago. He projects to platoon for Atlanta in the outfield for now.

The Boston Red Sox have promoted left-handed pitching prospect Brandon Clarke to High-A Greenville on Monday. Clarke will join fellow Low-A teammate, infielder
Franklin Arias, at High-A. Clarke was selected in the fifth round of the 2024 MLB Draft out of State College of Florida Manatee - Sarasota. The 22-year-old made his professional debut at the start of the 2025 campaign with Low-A Salem. Across nine 2/3 innings of work, the southpaw held a stellar 0.92 ERA with a 0.41 WHIP. During this stint, Clarke struck out 17 batters and only served up two walks. Fantasy managers should expect the young southpaw to join the High-A starting rotation. He is a name to monitor in dynasty formats as he could find himself much higher on prospect boards if he continues this pace. He is currently considered the No. 30 prospect in the Boston system on MLB Pipeline.

The Boston Red Sox are promoting left-handed pitcher Hayden Mullins to Double-A Portland. Mullins has spent the early part of the 2025 season and most of 2024 with High-A Greenville. In 17 innings of work this season, Mullins has posted a 1.06 ERA with a 0.82 WHIP. He has tallied 27 punchouts and served up three free passes. Mullins has made four appearances this season, with three of them coming out of the rotation. Last summer, the 24-year-old held a 3.94 ERA with a 1.29 WHIP across 89 innings of work at High-A. Across this stint, the southpaw flashed similar strikeout upside as he tallied 118, but showed modest command of his pitches as he served up 42 walks. Fantasy managers should expect the Auburn product to remain at Double-A throughout most of the 2025 season.
