6 days agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell (face) has been listed as available on the team's latest official injury report and will be wearing a facemask to protect his nose. The 27-year-old played in the team's last game against the Memphis Grizzlies and delivered 29 points, eight assists, four rebounds, three steals, one block, and three turnovers. The Cavaliers are still vying for playoff positions right now, so each one of their two remaining games is important. Mitchell will be heavily involved, as usual, so he could be a big-time DFS option heading down the stretch of the regular season.Source: NBA Injury Report
6 days agoCharlotte Hornets forward Grant Williams (ankle) has received a questionable tag on Friday for a revenge game against the Boston Celtics. The former Celtic has been inconsistent to say the least, but he's hit a bit of a rhythm lately as he continues to be a starter for the Hornets. With a lot of the core not able to play, Williams is likely to get as many opportunities as possible if he plays in this game. It's unclear if the Celtics are going to be resting their starters since their injury report hasn't been submitted, but Williams' value would increase if that was the case. If he can't suit up, however, Davis Bertans and Aleksej Pokusevski would be quality streaming options.Source: NBA Injury Report
6 days agoWashington Wizards forward/center Marvin Bagley III (knee) will miss his fifth consecutive game due to a knee sprain and this will be his 32nd missed game of the season. Since this is the last game of the year for the Wizards, fantasy managers and those creating DFS lineups can safely drop Bagley until next season. He ended the year averaging 11.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.2 turnovers per game across 50 total appearances and 25 starts for the Wizards and Detroit Pistons. On Friday, since Richaun Holmes (toe) is questionable, the safer streaming option would be Anthony Gill for big-man stats, but he's an overall risky option.Source: NBA Injury Report
6 days agoWashington Wizards center Richaun Holmes (toe) has been tagged as questionable ahead of their Friday night matchup with the Chicago Bulls. The veteran big man has been a mainstay on the injury report this year, so his status has been even more difficult to judge as the season has come to a close. He hasn't played in the last seven consecutive games and it seems he would more than likely miss an eighth since the Wizards are more concerned with getting the best draft pick possible. If he's watching from the sidelines again, Anthony Gill would be the best big as a streaming option, but is a very risky selection, especially in DFS lineups.Source: NBA Injury Report
6 days agoBrooklyn Nets guard Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) has been ruled out for Friday's meeting with the New York Knicks. He has missed the previous five games due to right hip inflammation and will be forced to sit out another matchup. Smith is having a tough end to the season and only has one more chance to return to the court on Sunday, as Brooklyn takes on the Philadelphia 76ers in the final game of the year. The backup point guard's absence will likely lead to heavy minutes for Cam Thomas and Dennis Schroder.Source: NBA Injury Report
6 days agoBrooklyn Nets guard Jacob Gilyard (hip) is considered probable for Friday's match-up against the New York Knicks. He has been bothered by a left hip contusion recently, but he should be able to suit up for this game. The 25-year-old was available for Wednesday's contest against the Toronto Raptors but never saw a minute of playing time. The last time Gilyard stepped onto the court was on March 27, only playing four minutes in that contest. He is not a consistent part of Brooklyn's rotation, so not much can be expected from him to close out the regular season.Source: NBA Injury Report
6 days agoBrooklyn Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's matchup against the New York Knicks. He has not played in the previous two contests because of left knee inflammation, and the injury will hold him out for another game. Noah Clowney is expected to continue to remain in the starting lineup and receive a heavy workload again, after playing at least 35 minutes in two consecutive games. Sunday's meeting against the Philadelphia 76ers will be the only opportunity for Finney-Smith to play again this season, as the Nets have been eliminated from playoff contention.Source: NBA Injury Report
6 days agoMemphis Grizzlies forward Lamar Stevens (groin) will not suit up for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He is coming off a productive game (16 points, six rebounds, and four blocks) while logging 37 minutes in Thursday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, he is dealing with left groin soreness and will sit out Friday's game. Stevens joins a long list of injured Grizzlies players, which is nothing new for this team. His final chance to return to action will be on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets. Trey Jemison will likely take on a large role again.Source: NBA Injury Report
6 days agoMemphis Grizzlies guard John Konchar (heel) will not suit up for Friday's contest against the Los Angeles Lakers. The 28-year-old has not played since March 22 and this will be his tenth straight game he will be out as he tries to recover from plantar fasciitis in his right heel. There are only two games left on the schedule for the injury-plagued Grizzlies, and there is a good chance Konchar will not play again this year. Memphis will likely have a tight rotation of young players to close out the season, including GG Jackson II, Jake LaRavia, and Scotty Pippen Jr.Source: NBA Injury Report
6 days agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Luke Kennard (knee) is listed as out for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. This will be his fifth straight game on the sidelines because of a left knee injury. With the season almost over, it would not be surprising if Kennard has already played his last game of the year. The Grizzlies have been ravaged by injuries all season long, and they will continue to rely on a group of young players. Fantasy managers can expect GG Jackson II, Jake LaRavia, and Scotty Pippen Jr. to lead the backcourt.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoSan Antonio Spurs forward Cedi Osman (ankle) will not be available to play on Friday against the Denver Nuggets. This will be his fifth straight game on the sidelines because of a right ankle sprain. With only two games left in the regular season, the Spurs are in no rush to have Osman return to the court, as they are eliminated from the playoff race. While he is out, expect Julian Champagnie, Sidy Cissoko, and Blake Wesley to see more minutes down the stretch. Osman's last chance to return will come on Sunday against the Detroit Pistons.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoDallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II (knee) will miss the rest of the regular season. This isn't surprising, considering he's made little progress toward a return to the court. However, it appears there's a chance he could be back for the playoffs, although it's too early to tell. But until Lively is back in the mix, Daniel Gafford, P.J. Washington, and Maxi Kleber should hold things down underneath the rim.Source: Brad Townsend
7 days agoSan Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson (foot) will not play in Friday's game against the Denver Nuggets. This will be the third straight game he has missed because of a sprained left foot. The 24-year-old has only played in one of the last six games for the Spurs as San Antonio sits at the bottom of the Western Conference standings. Johnson will only have one more chance to return to the court, which will be on Sunday versus the Detroit Pistons. In his absence, Julian Champagnie, Sidy Cissoko, and Blake Wesley are players who could see bigger roles as the regular season winds down.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoBrooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (toe) is questionable for Friday's meeting with the New York Knicks. The 28-year-old hasn't had the best season, averaging 13.4 points and 4.3 rebounds, both down from the 2022-23 campaign. He's also missed a lot of time due to various ailments, which was a source of frustration for fantasy participants. At any rate, with Dorian Finney-Smith (knee) out, Noah Clowney, coming off a 10-point, seven-block outing in Wednesday's win over Toronto, should see plenty of work. But if Johnson gets ruled out, Jalen Wilson and Trendon Watford would emerge as viable value options for DFS managers.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoMemphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (quadriceps) will not suit up for Friday's match-up with the Los Angeles Lakers due to a right quadriceps injury. He will miss his fifth consecutive game and will likely not play another minute this season, as the Grizzlies are out of playoff contention. Injuries are nothing new for Memphis this year, as they continue to rely on many inexperienced players. Their frontout remains thin as Brandon Clarke (hand) is also out for Friday's contest. Fantasy managers can expect Trey Jemison to handle a heavy workload once again, as he played 36 minutes last game.Source: NBA Injury Report
