Josh Jacobs Scores Again, Tallies 107 Total Yards In Week 16 Victory
Josh Jacobs kept his touchdown streak intact with a second-quarter touchdown as the Packers routed the New Orleans Saints 34-0 in Week 16. Jacobs scored on a two-yard touchdown at the beginning of the second quarter, making that the sixth consecutive game that Jacobs has scored a touchdown. With an economical 69 yards on 13 carries, Jacobs was efficient on the ground while also catching a perfect 4-of-4 targets for 38 yards on the evening. Bowing out a bit early was Jacobs as with a massive lead and the Packers well on their way to a win, he gave way for the backups later in the second half. With a divisional matchup set for Sunday afternoon when the Packers face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17, Jacobs is a locked-in RB1 for fantasy managers.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers running back 182 Yards Passing And A Score For Jordan Love in Week 16 Win
Jordan Love was quiet and didn't have to do a lot of heavy lifting as the Packers blanked the New Orleans Saints 34-0 in Week 16. Love was 16-of-28 passing for 182 yards and one touchdown; a two-yard strike to Dontayvion Wicks to kick off the scoring for the Packers in the first quarter. Love also added two yards rushing in the win. With the run game a massive part of the production for the Packers against the undermanned Saints, Love didn't have to expend a lot of energy in this game as he bowed out in the fourth quarter for Malik Willis to finish out the game. In Week 17, the Packers will head to U.S. Bank Stadium to face the Minnesota Vikings, where Love will be a low-end QB1 for fantasy managers.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers quarterback Packers D/ST Shuts Out Saints In Week 16
Spencer Rattler three times while also forcing a fumble and interception as Green Bay is the first team to hold an opponent scoreless this season. The Packers will head west to the neighboring state of Minnesota for a late afternoon date with the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. For fantasy managers, the Packers D/ST will be a borderline startable unit in that matchup based on how well the Packers have played on defense as of late.Source: ESPN
The Green Bay Packers defense and special teams unit was dominant in their Week 16 home win over the New Orleans Saints. The Saints were outmatched from the opening kick as the Packers held the Saints to 220 yards of total offense. The Packers sacked Christian Watson Questionable To Return On Monday Night With Knee Injury
Christian Watson (knee) is considered questionable to return to Monday night's game against the visiting New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field due to a knee injury. Watson initially got up slowly after a 14-yard rushing attempt in the second quarter but eventually returned to the game in the first half. The 25-year-old was then being stretched out on the sidelines in the second half and is now questionable to return. The Packers are up big 24-0 with the Saints not mounting much of a challenge, so we'd be surprised if the team brings the receiver back into this contest. Before Watson was listed as questionable, he had 23 yards on two rushing attempts and didn't catch his only target. On a short turnaround in Week 17 against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Dec. 29, Watson could have a tough time playing, depending on the severity of his knee injury.Source: Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jaire Alexander Inactive On Monday Night

Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) will be inactive again on Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints, according to a source. The 27-year-old Pro Bowl cornerback was able to practice in full all of last week, but the Packers are being cautious with the veteran defensive back, and he'll end up missing his fifth straight game. Hopefully, Alexander will be available for a big divisional matchup on Sunday, Dec. 29, in Week 17 against the Minnesota Vikings at home. With Alexander out yet again, Keisean Nixon, Carrington Valentine and Eric Stokes will remain the team's corners in an excellent matchup against a Saints offense with very little experience at the receiver position thanks to injuries. New Orleans will also be starting rookie QB Packers Activating Luke Musgrave From Injured Reserve
Luke Musgrave (ankle) from Injured Reserve on Monday, and he will play against the New Orleans Saints, according to a source. Musgrave underwent surgery on his ankle in October and hasn't played since Week 3, so the Packers will ease him back in. The 24-year-old caught 34 of his 46 targets for 352 yards and one touchdown in his first 11 NFL games (nine starts) in Green Bay last year. In four games before injuring his ankle this year, Musgrave was barely involved behind Tucker Kraft, catching five of seven targets for 22 yards. He probably won't be all the field that much on Monday night in his first game back after a long layoff, and Musgrave will be a low-upside deep sleeper in DFS formats for the final three games of the regular season and in the playoffs for the Packers.Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero
The Green Bay Packers are activating tight end Brandon McManus On Streaming Radar For Week 16
Brandon McManus has been perfect on all his kicks over the last four games. It appears that the Packers have finally found a reliable kicking option. Last week, McManus connected on all three of his field goal attempts and all three extra point attempts in the win over the Seattle Seahawks. McManus has been active lately and should continue to see plenty of work with the way this offense is playing right now. They head into a plus-matchup against the New Orleans Saints defense in Week 16. Fantasy managers looking for a streaming option in Week 16 should consider using McManus.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers kicker Luke Musgrave Questionable For Week 16
Luke Musgrave (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 16 against the New Orleans Saints. Musgrave has been out since Week 5 with his injury and could make a return this week. His presence would be less relevant for his fantasy value and more tied to the value of Tucker Kraft. Kraft looks like a great tight-end option this week and Musgrave's return would only cut into his value a little bit this week. If Musgrave is out, Kraft is locked and loaded as the go-to tight end for the Packers and is a great play at the position.Source: Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers tight end Packers D/ST Primed For Great Matchup Against Saints In Week 16
Spencer Rattler, who is 0-3 as a starter. Combine that with the Saints not having Alvin Kamara available and the Packers D/ST unit looking like one of the best plays for Week 16 for fantasy managers at D/ST.Source: RotoBaller
The Green Bay Packers' defense and special teams' unit looks to build off the momentum of one of their best games of the season as they host the New Orleans Saints in Week 16. The Packers' defense was one of the stars of Green Bay's Week 15 win against the Seattle Seahawks as they tallied seven sacks and two interceptions as a unit. Those seven sacks were the second-highest total the defense has put up all season and now gets a shell of an offense in New Orleans that is starting Tucker Kraft A Low-End TE1 For Week 16 Against The Saints
Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft had his worst fantasy performance in the past four games and looks to right the ship against the New Orleans Saints in Week 16. Kraft has been a solidread more...
Christian Watson A Boom-Or-Bust Flex Option Against Saints
Christian Watson has been the Packers' primary downfield option in recent weeks and looks to break off some long gains as the Packers host the New Orleans Saints in Week 16. Watson's game is well-known at this point for fantasy: break off a long gain or two and hope he gets into the end zone. With two 100-yard games in his past five contests, Watson has been a solid fantasy option. When he hasn't, he's been hard to stomach when in lineups. With Romeo Doubs returning last week from concussion protocol, that adds another weapon and spreads out targets even more for the other remaining pass-catchers like Watson, Jayden Reed, Tucker Kraft, and others. With Watson being a clear boom-or-bust option in fantasy football lineups, he's more of a volatile flex option despite a great matchup against the Saints in Week 16.Source: RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed Merely In Flex Territory For Week 16
Jayden Reed had a hot start to his 2024 NFL season but has been stuck in a slump. He'll look to climb out of it in Week 16 against the New Orleans Saints on Monday. Reed has 34 receiving yards or fewer and is averaging less than four targets per game in his last five games. While Reed has three touchdowns in those games, those touchdowns are what is fueling his fantasy value lately, not his target-earning ability. Add in Romeo Doubs returning to the Packers' lineup from concussion protocol last week, and that addition continues to smooth out targets for every other pass-catching option for Green Bay. The Saints have been a middle-of-the-pack team in defending slot receivers this season, so the matchup isn't a slam dunk. Despite that, Reed is a low-end flex option for fantasy managers given the Packers' focus on the run and dwindling passing-game opportunities.Source: RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs Looking To Stay Hot In Week 16
Romeo Doubs looks to keep his strong start going after returning from concussion protocol when the Packers host the New Orleans Saints on Monday. Doubs, who hadn't played since Week 12, cleared concussion protocol to suit up in Week 15 and he scored twice and caught three passes for 40 yards on five targets. With Doubs back in the fold for the Packers, he adds a solid, consistent option to the Packers' pass-catching group, but the Packers have been leaning towards the run in recent weeks. Not to mention that the Packers and quarterback Jordan Love have also spread the wealth among their targets, so not one player has been the clear go-to receiver in the latest stretch of games. Doubs is a solid flex option for fantasy managers in a good matchup against the Saints, but the ceiling is low.Source: RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Lock Josh Jacobs In For RB1 Treatment Against Saints
Josh Jacobs looks to keep his awesome run going in Week 16 as the Packers host the New Orleans Saints. Jacobs has been on fire over the last five games, where he's scored nine touchdowns and averages 21 carries and 112 total yards per game. The Packers have been leaning more and more towards the run in the second half of this season as Green Bay has a bottom-five pass rate over expected. The expectation for Jacobs to continue that rushing volume is there against a Saints team that ranks 28th in defensive EPA per rush attempt. With this excellent matchup looming, it should be no surprise that Jacobs is a must-start option at running back for fantasy managers this week.Source: RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers running back Consider Jordan Love A Low-End QB Streamer In Week 16
Jordan Love has a great matchup on tap as the Packers host the New Orleans Saints in Week 16. Love has been solid this season, but for fantasy purposes, it's left fantasy managers wanting a bit more. With just one top 12 finish among fantasy quarterbacks in the last four weeks, Love has been a floor play in fantasy despite multiple touchdowns in three of those four weeks. The lack of passing volume and increasing willingness to lean into the run with Josh Jacobs has impacted the fantasy viability of not just Love, but Green Bay's pass-catchers too. With a great matchup against the Saints who give up the seventh-highest passing yards per game this season, Love is a low-end fantasy starting quarterback, but realistically, he's more of a streaming candidate for Week 16.Source: RotoBaller
