Packers Likely To Focus On D-Line, Tight End In Draft
2 years agoThe Green Bay Packers have spent a lot of time on the defensive linemen and tight ends in this year's draft class. They are the two clear areas of need, and the team recently had a top-30 visit with tight ends Michael Mayer (Notre Dame) and Darnell Washington (Georgia). Tight end is a priority this year after Robert Tonyan signed with the Chicago Bears in free agency. Wide receiver could also be a possibility, and the Packers have repeatedly waited until Days 2 and 3 to select wideouts and haven't taken one in the first round since 2002 (Javon Walker). The Packers have the 15th overall pick in the first round and will be wanting to get more offensive weapons for quarterback Jordan Love.
