Owen Caissie Logs Fourth Straight Multi-Hit Performance
Owen Caissie went 3-for-5 on Sunday for Triple-A Iowa, with a walk, a double, and two runs scored. The kid has caught fire recently, now with four consecutive multi-hit performances, going 10-for-17 (.588) with two doubles, four home runs, and a 3:2 BB:K. The Cubs' top-ranked prospect is now slashing .280/.388/.556 on the season. Earlier this season, the left-handed slugger was striking out at an alarming rate, but he's been able to get that under control recently, and with a 14.0 percent walk rate in 2025, he's still been able to find a way on base even when he's not been hitting. The major league roster's outfield is crowded at the moment, with no path to playing time, but were one of the regulars to go down with an injury, Caissie would likely be first in line to get the call. Fantasy managers in need of some power in very deep and NL-only leagues could consider stashing the former second-round draft pick, as when he gets the call, he'll be batting in one of the better run-producing lineups in the majors.
