Oswald Peraza Day-To-Day With Knee Issue

New York Yankees shortstop Oswald Peraza (knee) has been dealing with some swelling in his left knee and is day-to-day after undergoing an MRI exam on Sunday that came back clean, according to manager Aaron Boone. The Yankees have a doubleheader on tap on Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox, but there's no guarantee that Peraza will be able to play in either game as he deals with a knee injury. The 23-year-old has really struggled in 36 games for the Yanks in his second major-league season in 2023, going 21-for-112 (.188) with no home runs, five doubles, 10 RBI, four stolen bases and eight runs scored in 126 plate appearances. Since being called back up from the minors on Aug. 22, Peraza has gone 12-for-60 (.200) with four doubles, four RBI and three runs scored in 17 games (16 starts).
