The Baltimore Orioles reached an agreement with infielder/outfielder Shed Long on a minor league contract on Wednesday, according to a source familiar with the deal. The 26-year-old spent the last three seasons with the Seattle Mariners, who outrighted him last October. Long decided to choose free agency and has now found a new home in Baltimore. In his three seasons in the big leagues with Seattle, Long hit just .216/.284/.376 with 12 home runs, 41 RBI and eight stolen bases in 417 plate appearances over 110 games. He is rehabbing from surgery to fix a stress reaction in his right shin and might not be available whenever spring training starts. Long will not be on the fantasy radar in single-year leagues going into the 2022 season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
