O.J. Howard's MRI Confirms Torn Achilles
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard's (Achilles) MRI exam confirmed that he tore his Achilles in the Week 4 win over the Chargers, according to a source. The former first-round pick will miss the rest of the 2020 season. You can safely drop him now in all redraft leagues. With Howard out, it'll be Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate splitting time at the position, with both being more of TE2's with touchdown upside with quarterback Tom Brady at the helm. Howard finishes his four-game season with 11 catches on 19 targets for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Gronk will be the preferred tight end play in fantasy leagues, as Brate has just one catch for three yards and a touchdown on two targets this year.
