Nolan Smith Impresses At The Combine
2 years agoUniversity of Georgia edge rusher Nolan Smith ran an official 4.39-second 40-yard dash on Thursday at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Smith certainly helped his cause in the upcoming draft with an outstanding performance on Thursday after he suffered a season-ending pectoral injury last November. The 6-foot-2, 238-pounder's 40 speed was faster than some of the top receivers and running backs currently in the NFL, such as Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey. Smith also impressed with a 41.5-inch vertical and 10-foot, eight-inch broad jump while measuring 32 5/8 inches in arm length and nine-inch hands. In his time at Georgia, he had 113 tackles and 11.5 sacks, and his draft stock is surely on the rise after his combine performance.
