Nolan Arenado's Hit Streak Broken
6 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado went hitless in Game 1 of the National League Division Series, ending his hitting streak at nine games. The MVP candidate still knocked in a critical run in the top of the ninth inning to send the game to extra innings though. Expect Arenado to be one of the major forces in the series with the Brewers, and expect him to start hitting again in Game 2. It's never wise to bet against a hitter as good as Arenado, but he'll likely need to do his damage against the starters more than the relievers since Milwaukee's bullpen is one of the best in the game. Hopefully, Friday will be the start of the next streak.
