Nolan Arenado Out With Rib Soreness, Expected to Return on Tuesday
Nolan Arenado (kidney, rib) is out of the team's starting lineup on Monday against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards due to kidney/rib soreness from falling into the crowd on a catch on Sunday. "Overall, I feel OK. Should be fine by tomorrow, just kind of stiff today. So I'm just gonna get some treatment and then go from there. But tomorrow I should be okay," Arenado said. Nolan Gorman will start at third base and hit seventh on Monday against Orioles right-hander Charlie Morton. Arenado is hitting only .222 (18-for-81) with two homers, a double, triple, 12 RBI and 10 runs scored in 21 games in the month of May. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Tuesday to make sure he's actually back in action as the series in Baltimore continues. Gorman has two hits in four career at-bats against Morton but is hitting .171 (14-for-82) on the year with a homer and nine RBI.
