Noah Gray 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Travis Kelce Is Washed, But Can Gray Step Up?
Noah Gray appears to be a prime candidate for a breakout. That is, if fellow TE Travis Kelce would retire already. But the 35 and soon-to-turn-36-year-old, future Hall of Fame TE will still be with the team for the 2025 season. The runway isn't year clear for Gray to step into the leading role. Kelce graded horribly as a pass-catcher last season, but he still understands how to find the open holes in zone defenses, so he still will likely earn enough targets to make Gray an afterthought in the offense. Unfortunately, Gray will have to wait until Kelce leaves the team before he can reasonably be considered as a viable option for fantasy football. The Chiefs have a strong group of receivers in Rashee Rice, Hollywood Brown, and Xavier Worthy, and with Kelce also demanding his fair share of targets and elite pass-catching rookie running back Brashard Smith primed to step into a solid receiving role later in the season, according to my analysis, at least, Gray is a nice dynasty stash and not much more.
