Noah Fant 2023 Outlook: Looks Like Another Season as a TE2
2 years agoNoah Fant was one of the major assets the Seattle Seahawks acquired when they traded franchise quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos during the biggest blockbuster of 2022. Instead of being installed as Seattle's top tight end, though, he split playing time and targets as part of a tight end trio with veteran Will Dissly and underrated Colby Parkinson. Fant's 50-486-4 final line was disappointing to most fantasy managers who thought he would elevate his numbers because Denver was holding him back. Fant, Dissly, and Parkinson are all returning this year, so there is no reason to think Fant will rise above the other two and become a dominant tight end in his fifth NFL season. Even though he has above-average speed to split seems and dependable hands he has just not reached the level most people predicted he would when he first entered the league. Fant is more talented than his two tight end teammates, and Dissly is coming off a major knee injury and may not be ready for the start of the season, so Fant is a decent sleeper candidate for improved numbers in 2023. But if you are drafting Fant to be your TE1 and think this will finally be the year he becomes a game-breaking Pro Bowl tight end, you are probably sadly mistaken.
