No New Positive COVID-19 Tests For Patriots
4 years agoThe New England Patriots had no new positive COVID-19 tests on Thursday, according to a source. The team continues to work remotely for at least one more round of COVID-19 testing. If the Patriots go another day without any positive tests, they could be allowed to return to their facilities and practice together. This all comes after quarterback Cam Newton tested positive last Friday and cornerback Stephon Gilmore tested positive earlier this week. Both players are reportedly asymptomatic, but it remains to be seen if they'll be cleared in time to play in Week 5 against the Broncos. It's unclear who would get the nod under center for the Pats if Newton misses another game, as veteran Brian Hoyer was benched late in the loss to the Chiefs for Jarrett Stidham.
