Nils Hoglander Signs Two-Year Pact With Canucks
1 year agoVancouver Canucks winger Nils Hoglander has agreed to a two-year extension with the team. The 22-year-old was a restricted free agent after spending most of 2022-23 in the AHL. Hoglander posted 14 goals and 32 points in 45 games with the Abbotsford Canucks, but he was limited to only three goals and nine points in 25 NHL appearances with Vancouver. The new deal has a $1.1 million cap hit. Last season was a disappointment for Hoglander, but he registered 27 points in 56 games during his rookie campaign in the NHL back in 2020-21, and he'll hope to get back on track in 2023-24, although there's quite a lot of competition for the former second-round pick at the wing position in Vancouver.
