Washington Capitals center Nicklas Backstrom posted a goal with an assist and a plus-one rating with a blocked shot in 20:50 of ice time in Wednesday's 5-2 win against the Vegas Golden Knights. It was the Swede's first goal of the season, but he has notched at least one point in all three goals, totaling six points with a plus-4 rating. Four of his points have come on Washington's tremendously efficient power-play unit, including his goal on Wednesday. The 11-year-veteran already has two multi-point games under his belt this season.--Daniel Dobish
