Nick Solak Stays Hot, Homers Again
4 years agoTexas Rangers second baseman Nick Solak went 2-for-4 with a solo home run on Monday. Over his last four games, he's hitting 6-for-14 (.429) with two home runs. Overall, Solak is 12-for-37 (.324) with four home runs but has an uninspired BB-K of 1-13. He hit 32 home runs in 2019 between triple-A and the majors but struggled to hit for power at the MLB level in 2020 when he went deep just twice with an ISO rate of .077. If Solak can rediscover his power stroke, he'll pair that nicely with the ability to steal 10-12 bases. He's expected to play second base this year, which has pushed incumbent Rougned Odor over to the hot corner. Solak should have solid versatility in fantasy baseball after playing mostly in the outfield last year.
