Miles Sanders Idle Again Thursday
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (quadriceps) was listed as a DNP for the second straight practice on Thursday. Sanders suffered the quad injury on Tuesday in the win over the Washington Football Team, and on the short week, he should now be considered questionable to play on Sunday against the New York Giants. It would be a shame if Sanders had to miss this game, as he is peaking at the right time for his fantasy managers with 42 carries for 251 yards (5.98 yards per carry) while adding five catches for 37 yards the last two weeks. Sanders has yet to find the end zone in 2021, but he'd be an upside RB2 if he can suit up against a vulnerable Giants rush D. If he's out Sunday, Jordan Howard would likely be the primary back, with Boston Scott and rookie Kenneth Gainwell pitching in behind him.
