According to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (knee) is expected to be activated from the injured list on Friday. He's been out since May 1 with a left knee contusion and is ready to make his return after almost a month. The three-time MVP didn't go on a rehab assignment, but hit against a minor-league pitcher on Wednesday and ran the bases aggressively on Tuesday. He was slashing .179/.264/.462 with nine home runs, 18 RBI, 14 runs, and two stolen bases over 29 games before the injury. While the average wasn't good, Trout still managed a .577 xSLG and .372 xwOBA. The 33-year-old remains one of the best hitters in the league when healthy, but staying on the field remains a constant battle.
